  8. Foaming preservative.

  9. Perfume.

  10. Colour.

MATERIALS NEEDED: silk, bowl, water, hand gloves.

STEPS:

  1. Measure the water (clean water) according to the measurement of the chemical.

  2. Then you put nitrogen chemical and mix it thoroughly with stick or broom.

  3. Add caustic soda and mix it.

  4. So you do with the other chemicals one by one according to their numbers.

  5. Before adding color that is the last chemical you dilute it in the cup separately.

BIOGAS THE FUEL REMEDY

BIOGAS PRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION.

As measure and Campaign to stem the trend of deforestation characterize by tree-cutting to provide fire wood as fuel source in our homes and bakeries; the challenge before us is drought and flooding as an effect of global warming which may therefore cause farming as time goes on. To converting cow dung into Natural fuel (biogas) chiefly methane and others like atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature (250-280) complete decomposition process of negligible carbon dioxide which is immediately used up by photosynthesis.

PRODUCTION PROCESS:

Recipes: gallon, hose or tube, cow dung muddy water.

METHODS:

Step 1: put a fresh cow dung 2kg into 4litres-sized plastic gallon to fill the gallon.

Step II: put 1 liter of water on top of the cow dung and allow air space at the top of the gallon.

Step III: mix the content properly and tie the lid of the gallon tightly.

Step IV: at the top of the gallon pierce a hole and insert the tube or hose (NB do not allow air to touch the contents) and shut the open mouthed tube switch.

Step V: keep the gallon air tight and at room temperature for 21 days. Gases evolve and diffuse upward to occupy the air space at the top of the gallon. To use it, slightly switch on the control, the gas is pressurized out which catches fire on sticking matches and burns.

APPLICATION/IMPORTANCE.

  • Biogas can be metered directly into homes, schools laboratories as bottled gas for cooking and heating.

  • To run thermal stations to generate electricity.

  • In glass industries, cement plants for firing kiln.

  • Biogas can be converted into compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to be used in both petrol powered cars and diesel vehicle.

DISADVANTAGE:

  • The gas doesn’t last for a long time.

  • The container/digester may burst due to pressure from the gas.
