ABOUT GINI

OUR VISION

We seek to achieve the utilization of our abundant environmental resources to possibly boast our ailing and epileptic economy through effective production and distribution of cost-effective fuel in Nigeria.

To meet the fuel need of every Nigerian through total shifting nonrenewable energy source from the cost-effective petroleum, to the most available and cheaper animal waste (cow dung) resource. This is the hall mark for our millennial, global intellectual property invention and as a paradigm measure to any oil shortage as emergency step.

OUR MISSION

Brazil a third world country; has with pride, shifted from the use of non- renewable petroleum to the production of soya beans powered vehicles as well as ethanol (from sugarcane) powered machinery as their major fuel and economy base. To champion this trend, we have now evolved this gigantic but simple project christened converting waste to wealth.

BRIEF HISTORY OF GINI.

Global Initiative for Nature Improvement (GINI) is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) that was inaugurated in December, 2009, and was registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) in June, 2011 with the RC- 45288. The motto of the NGO is changing the environment, with the Aim and objective as making life better for the community through environmental control. Uplifting the standard of living and poverty reduction.

Since inception. GINI has been embarking on various environmental activities that affect the lives of its immediate community within and outside Billiri LGA of Gombe State. In 2010, GINI raised, launched and distributed ten thousand (10,000) trees seedlings to the ten wards of Billiri LGA free for onward planting campaign at the Government Science Secondary School. Billiri. Hence, establishing an orchard for the school. Likewise, the same activity was carried out at Sabon Liyi Banganje Billiri in 2013.

All these activities are done either single handedly by the GINI or with support from individuals/organizations. In 2011/2012 GINI was co-sponsored by Care for Life Mission, where twenty thousand (20,000) seedlings were raised and an orchard of two thousand seedlings were established at Kupto, Funakaye LGA, Gombe State.

Recently, GINI is undergoing a project with the Global Environment Facility, small Grant Program (GEF/SGP) of UNDP at Laberpito Billiri LGA, Gombe State. The project which is titled: ‘’Promoting Tree Planting for Poverty Reduction and Environmental Protection” is aimed at various activities and enhances socio-economic upliftment of the living standard of the rural populace as well as the environmental issues. In whatever GINI does, we bear gender equality in mind treating each other with respect and honor.
